Commentary On The Discussion Of The Status Of Women’s Rights By The Women Resonance

The "Women Resonance" was founded in 1929 in Shanghai, which was the official publication of the Women Resonance Club. It was released by KMT women between 1929 and 1944. Seen from the time limit, its fundamental experienced in the most time of the rule of the Nanjing National Government. From a content point of view, it relates to all aspects of women’s issues. In this paper, Using the "Women Resonance" as the raw data, to analyses of studies journals, magazine about women’s rights, social roles, commentary on the status of claims, and evaluate its social significance.Paper is mainly composed of four parts. The first part is describes the background of the magazine distribution. It was under the influence of the first feminist movement but faced a special environment that Chinese women’s movement in a low point. The second part is review of the "Women Resonance" discussions on aspects of women’s rights content. Respectively, from the women’s suffrage, the law right to equality between men and women, women employment right, women’s right to freedom of marriage.To protect the right of the prostitutes and maids is also included in this part. The third part is analyzed about the "Women Resonance" advocates women to act as the role of social status in different historical circumstances. The fourth part of the "Women Resonance" discussion on the status of women’s rights arising from social significance to give an objective evaluation.Through the four parts research, a conclusion can be given that the "Women Resonance" work as the female voice of the public opinion of the media, relatively free speech platform for the discussion on women’s issues, which has an important role on the history during the rule of the Nanjing National Government.
