Selection Of Valuation Index On Identifying Poor University Students Based On Data Mining Technique

With the development of economy and culture, people’s standard of living is gradually improved. Still, there is a group of students with financial difficulties existing in universities. In order to help these students, the government has taken various measures, so that they can be fully engaged into their studies. However, there are many factors involved in the process which can influence the result, so the identification of poor students has plagued many colleges and universities. What’s more, the funding of impoverished students is an important issue related to the education fair, and therefore we need to deal with it with great care. In the thesis, the pipelining data of students’daily consumption in the campus on IC card is recorded. Through the mining and analysis of the objective information, a new train of thought to identify and evaluate poor students is provided.In this thesis, the pipelining data of IC card consumption in several campuses of a domestic university in a school year is selected, and the data is processed, integrated, described, modelled and deduced by using SAS platform. By defining the index which has significant influences on consumption difference, such as the expenditure ratio of basic food and the scores of relative dining consumption, etc. An auxiliary basis to reasonably judge poor students in universities is presented on the basis of test and demonstration, and the effect is good.
