| Social conflicts and complex ethos, which contribute to confusion of college students’ choices of value, and unbalance of their measure of value, pose both great challenges and opportunities to the ideological and political education of college students. At present, how to resist the impact of Western thoughts and values; how to develop a well-rounded, comprehensive teaching mechanism with which we can help students set a proper philosophy based on the characteristics of the modern society; how to strengthen ideological and political education of college students in order to boost their extensive abilities are major issues to be addressed in ideological and political education. Holding events under the theme of “the Chinese dream†offers the most direct platform for college ideological and political work, and certainly have a profound impact on the cultivation of horticultural environment, campus culture and collegiate culture.Introduction mainly interprets basic questions concerning this paper in five dimensions. The first chapter is the fundamental part. All relative conceptions cleared, this part combines the characteristics and regularities of ideological and political education with educators’ actual experiences, puts forward the significant principle of “persist unification of implicit education and explicit education, persist unification of musicality and pertinence, persist unification of dominance and diversityâ€, and illustrate the practical request of “give full play to the integrity of values and construct common ideological basisâ€,â€give full scope to self-informativeness and build up advanced practice baseâ€, “bring into play the interactivity and explore multiple connotation of the timesâ€, “give rein to critical inscrutability and spread out pragmatic systematic thirst for knowledgeâ€, so as to promote the holistic development of ideological and political education and be able to solve existing practical problems.Chapter two is the inherent regulated part. What’s more, this chapter neatens basic contents of constructing collegiate class culture under the theme of “the Chinese dream†in three different dimensions, which are dimension of societal ideal and personal ideal, dimension of ideological education and action education, dimension of social culture and class culture. With matters listed above, it is safe to say that such class culture building activity embodies significant functions as “release freedomâ€, “permeate mainstream valueâ€, “facilitate communication†and “advance spiritual characterâ€.The third chapter is the investigation and analysis section.
