Tennis is a kind of sports that people play with a net at the middle of the ground. The great characteristics are its big strength, strong fighting and fast speed, and the characteristics are today’s tennis’ s development trend. With the development of tennis and the intension of tennis competitions, the serve technology has caught more tennis athletes’ attention. The competitive results show that good serve technology is one of the key to win a competition.Whether the serve technology is good or not will influence directly if the athlete can get the initiative, the key point and the final success. Time perception is the continuity and sequential reflect that people treat objective things. And it is also a reflect that people judge the length, speed and rhythm. There have been researches show that time perception plays an important part in athletes’ action. Now, there are a lot of researches on perception and other sports. However, there are few researches on the relationship of time perception and serve technology of tennis. So, this essay is based on the research to discuss the relationship between time perception and the serve technology and to offer scientific theory for tennis athletes’ serve technology and better competition results. This research chooses eight athletes, including 4 men and 4 women in the school of physical education of Inner Mongolia Normal University. All these athletes are trained above 1.5 years and 2 years. They are divided into high level team and low level team by the competition results. The two men and women in high level team are the top 6 in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region class competition. The two men and women in low level team are all players that get nothing during the provincial level competitions or even blow. The research finding out the relation between time perception and serve technology is based on the experiment. The experiment is divided into two stages. Each stage is done twice. The result shows:1. In the first round of the first stage of control time and provisions to serve placement tests, high level group of four tennis players have served 18 effective balls. Among them, the average time of serve is 55”79. Low level group of four tennis players have served 17 effective balls. Among them, the average time of serve is 58”54. Compared with the estimation of serve time, high level group is closer to the actual time.2. In the second round of the first stage of control time and no provisions serve placement tests, the high level group of four tennis players have served17 effective balls. Among them, the average time of serve is 52”85, which means that faster, more speedy and better serve quality; the low level group of four tennis players have served 14 effective balls. Among them, the average time of serve is 54”84, which means slower, less speedy and less serve quality.3. In the first round of the second stage of control, placement time and regulations to serve the repeated experiments, in the high level group of four tennis players have served 19 effective balls. The average time of serve is50”44, which means that faster, more speedy and better serve quality; the low level group of four tennis players have served 14 effective balls. Among them, the average time of serve is 53”58, which means slower, less speedy and less serve quality.4. The second round of the second stage of control time and no provisions to serve placement of repeated experiments, the high level group of four tennis players have served 27 effective balls. The average time of serve is46”41, which means that faster, more speedy and better serve quality; the low level group of four tennis players have served 17 effective balls. Among them, the average time of serve is 51”98, which means slower, less speedy and less serve quality.5. In the four round and two stages of serve experiments, the high level group of four tennis players have served 81 effective balls. The average time of serve is 51”37, the estimation of time is closer to the actual time; the lowlevel group of four tennis players have served 62 effective balls. The average time of serve is 54”73, the estimation of time is far to the actual timeThe experiments above show that there is a positive correlation between time perception and athletes’ actions. Athletes in high level team are faster and better at the time to serve than the players in low level team. So the result of this research is that there is causal relationship between time perception and serve quality of tennis players. The advice of this experiment shows we should pay more attention to develop athletes’ time perception on serving to achieve great result for the tennis players in daily tennis training.
