Research on mathematics thinking method enjoys more and more attraction from all over the world. Its importance in mathematical course is of universal consensus and it has been commonly called for by educational circles to have mathematics thinking method infiltrated into the school teaching. Textbook is an important source to achieve the curriculum objective. The author chooses senior mathematics textbook(Edition Jiangsu) as the research objective to study mathematics thinking method in it.Firstly, the author sorts out the existing researches related to mathematics thinking method by literature research and then tries to establish a frame where mathematics thinking method of textbook is analyzed. On the basis of analyzing mathematics thinking method in the textbook and combining mathematics thinking method in the entrance-examination questions as well as the teachers’ understanding, the author carries out both quantitative and qualitative analysis. According to the research results, four suggestions are put forward: First, more time are needed to be taken on the comprehensive teaching of mathematics thinking method; Second, the thought of Particular and Universal should be given importance to; Third, improve the teaching progress model under the present examination system and give time back to the conventional classroom teaching; Fourth, researches by experienced teachers on mathematics thinking method can be codified for the teachers’ reference.
