Education expert emphasis on different sides of teaching research, and put forward distinguishing teaching theory. But they all pay attention to person’s intelligence> thinkin g creativity and independence. Meaningful reception learning is put forward by American education psychologist David Ausubel. David Ausubel points out meaningful reception learning is the study of the learning which happens in the classroom, and the key of classroom learning research is how to acquire、use and maintain meaningful information. Ausubel thinks highly of the cultivation of students’ cognitive structure. Meanwhile, he p-oints out that when we are careful to affect the cognitive structure in order to keep and achieve the maximum of the meaningful learning, we are reach into the core of the tea ching process.The essence of the meaningful reception learning process is that symbolically expres-sed ideas are related in a nonarbitrary and substantive fashion to what the learner alread-y knows. New meanings are the products of meaningful learning. Ausubel attaches great importance to the students’cognitive structure, and set up on the basis of cognitive stru cture to cultivate the students’thinking ability. Meaningful reception learning involves the acquisition of new meanings. Some scholar used to summarize the theory as three parts :activate  connect and transform the meaning.This article mainly talks about the firs t part of the meaningful reception learning.At the same time,I take the high school ide ological and politics lesson as the research the research object.This article is made up by four parts, the main ideas are as follow:The first part mainly for the topic source, related research review, research methods and research innovation.The second part is to present and summarize the main points of "meaning activatio n",such as the meaning and importance of knowledge、learning set、and anchorage. Firs-t of all, it indicates that knowledge have the objectivity and the subjectivity. Second, it states that the relationship between learning set and motivation, that is the learning set is the consequence of motivation, and the motivation is the reason of the learning set. L ast, it extracts and purifies the anchorage as the mediation.The third part is the application of the meaning activation. Use the advanced organi zers to activate what the learner already known; take measure to activate the cognitive d rive-. self-improvement drive、affilative drive; set up problem situation to find the anch orageThe fourth part is the application in the high school ideological and politics.First, it discusses the possibility and feasibility of the meaning activation, second, it applies the meaning activation into the creation of problem situation.Third, it depends on the thou ght to come up with three suggestion:think highly of the leaner’s known knowledge and learning set,focus on the systematic of the knowledge...
