| In a multi-ethnic country, ethnic education is a sensitive topic, it involves the harmonious development of all ethnic groups, social stability and development of the multi nationality country. With the development of the information society and the global economic integration process, the national integration level is getting higher and higher, the conflicts between different cultures are more and more. In this trend, to reflect the cultural diversity, promote social harmony, the positive development of ethnic education is a more effective way. Multicultural education is a kind of equality, freedom, dignity, education idea and practice proposition based on, between different ethnic groups should learn from each other and understand, cultivate cross-cultural skills, is good for our education democratization and modernization.The study explores the implementation situation of national cognition and national symbiosis education in Inner Mongolia Normal University by literature method, questionnaire method, depth interview and participant observation. First, through the analysis of the related literature, to get the basic situation of ethnic education in colleges and universities. Then, using interview method, observation and questionnaire method to study the bilingual teaching system, curriculum and campus culture, and explore the growth and development of teachers and students during the ethnic education process in colleges and universities. At the same time, using the multicultural integration education theory to analyze the implementation situation of ethnic education in colleges and universities, and explore the problems of development of ethnic education in colleges and universities, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures, to provide suggestions for the development of ethnic higher education in Colleges and universities.Through the survey found that higher education institutions in the ethnic autonomous regions should continue to strengthen and improve the bilingual education system of Chinese-minority language, at the same time, colleges and universities should use of itself rich resources to develop multicultural curriculum, expand diversified knowledge of students, help students to establish a diversified value view, respect and understand the culture of minority nationalities, but also form the Chinese national identity in a higher level. Colleges and universities should actively build the campus culture activity, so that students feel the different cultural views, and in the concept of multi-cultural ideas for practical activities. Teachers also need to strengthen their own multicultural education theory, so as to promote the development of ethnic education. The country should speed up the legislation of ethnic education and guarantee the development of ethnic education. |
