With the rapid development of Internet, the technology of information and communication has become a necessary part of education. QQ has been used as one of the important information technology in students’ management by class advisers in junior middle schools, as it can be operated simply, can transmit information fast, can help teachers and students to establish the equal communication relationship, etc. The author has made an investigation on the current status of class advisers’ managing their students from 8 junior high schoolsin Meizhou, Guangdong by using the QQ. She found that there existed some problems when they made full use of the advantages of QQ to manage their students: for example, advisers lack the necessary information technology knowledge; advisers lack enough time to participate in it or give students more guidance; other functions of QQ cannot be used effectively; the environmentof managing students by using QQ is not loose enough.The author tried to summarize and analyze the reasons for the existing problems, and put forward some countermeasures: 1. Class advisers should improve their own theory accomplishment; 2. Class advisers should improve the abilities to manage students by using modern technology; 3. Class advisers should create a good environment in which teachers can use QQ to manage students; 4. Class advisers should improve students’ ability to use QQ; 5. Class advisers should attain the cooperation with students’ parents actively.The thesis has been divided into four parts to discuss about the current situation of class advisers’ managing students by using QQ and its countermeasures in junior middle schools. In the first part, the author has tried to clarify the research background, the research significance and the methodology. Meanwhile, a literature review has been made in this part in order to give the foundation to this thesis.In the second part, the author has descried the survey on the current situation of class advisers managing students by using QQ in junior middle schools in Meizhou. Questionnaires and interview have been used in the survey. The research result has been described in this part:1. QQ is often used as the common tool to chat with friends by the students in the junior middle schools; 2. It can be used to broaden teachers’ and students’ horizons; 3. It can be used to establish the equal and coadjutant relationship between teachers and students; 4. It can let teachers make effective use of QQ and found the class QQ group; 5. It can be easier for teachers to supervise students.In the third part, the author has analyzed the current situation of class advisers managing students by using QQ in junior middle schools in Meizhou and found out the existing problems in class advisers’ managing students by using QQ:1. It is difficult for class advisers to supervise the network because of their lack of information technology;2. Class advisers do not have enough time to teach students some knowledge about network and guide them to use it effectively because of their heavy teaching burdens;3. Students excessively rely on the network.In the fourth part, the author has put forward some reasonable countermeasures and pointed out some other problems which can be improved in the future:1.Class advisers in junior middle schools should improve their theoretical accomplishments;2. Class advisers in junior middle schools should enhance their abilities to use modern information technology to supervise students;3. Class advisers in junior middle schools should establish a good environment to administrate students by using QQ;4. Class advisers should improve students’ abilities and accomplishments of using QQ;5. Class advisers should strive for the cooperation with students’ parents.
