In the second half of the 20 th century, many countries regard education as the first strategic industries and countries have launched a new round of basic education curriculum reform. With the development of world education reform, the basic education curriculum reform in our country has experienced more than ten years and has made delightful achievements. The textbook as an important content in the reform, its development and change have attracted widely attention. The history textbook as the most important teaching resources, it is helpful for students to get to know people and society and the relationship between human and nature from the perspective of history, so as to form a correct outlook on life, values and world view. With the new curriculum reform, the characters image in the high school history textbook also have taken some changes. This article selects the published by people’s education pres class version of high school history textbooks, and outline of the present comparative study of historical figures accordingly, full text is divided into the following several parts:The first part: the introduction. Mainly introduces the research background, research significance and research ideas of this article.The second part: the historical figures of the two versions according to different indicators for data statistics and simple analysis. Such as by sex, occupation, ethnic classification statistics, prepare for the next part of the writing.The third part: the results of statistical analysis find the characters of teaching material the deficiency existing in shape. Such as reducing the number of characters, such as the lack of female characters.The fourth part: the teaching materials in shaping characters to explore the cause of problems and the shaping of image problems in the textbook to think.The fifth part: the shaping of the characters in the textbooks to provide some Suggestions. Mainly on the choice of characters and portrayal of characters, etc, puts forward the author’s suggestion.
