Study On The Positive Interaction Between College Students’ Cultural Consciousness And Ideological And Political Education In College

Higher education in China had been suffering the strong impact of globalization. Although the impact involves many aspects, values and culture are the most fundamental and the foremost. In the context of globalization, contemporary college students’ state of mind change and present new features, thus, colleges and( universities are fully aware of the importance and necessity of cultivating the cultural consciousness of college students and strengthening ideological and political education and carry out a series of active exploration; the resemblances of essence, content and function existing between the cultural consciousness and ideological and political education make it possible to give full play to the role of college students’ cultural consciousness and ideological and political education and to promote the positive interaction between the two.In reality, influenced by multiple factors such as society, culture and education, the interaction between college students’cultural consciousness and ideological and political education in college emerges positive development trends; meanwhile, it also faces a dilemma. Although most of college students accept the value of traditional culture, possess certain of cultural discrimination, have a higher level of moral cognition, approve the socialist core values and keep rational mind on ideological and political education in college, there are series of problems among college students, including they have a poor knowledge of traditional culture and a weak cultural consciousness of suffering and they also lack scientific political beliefs and enthusiasm of participation in the host culture.In order to break the predicament, it is necessary to adhere to the directional principle, the comprehensive principle and the participatory principle, integrate cultural resources of the interaction between the two, which means exerting the educational function of traditional culture and learning from western civilization, and improve teachers’self-quality and intensify college students’ subject consciousness to play the active role of them in the interaction. The role as main channel of college ideological and political theory courses should be strengthened, at the same time, the classical study courses are also required to enrich the general education. Finally, taking advantage of the campus cultural activities and the campus network is an effective means to promote the positive interaction between college students’cultural consciousness and ideological and political education in college.
