Abstract/Summary:
Since the 1960 s has emerged,Geographic information system(GIS) has play an increasingly important role in the national production and people’s life,Its research and application is becoming more and more extensive and profound both in our country and abroad.As a new geographic information technology,GIS has powerful geographic information storage and spatial analysis functions,those functions just cater to the geography science research requirement,it also provides a new way of thinking for the middle school geography teaching and the students of geography study.and GIS has brought profound change for middle school geography curriculum standard,teaching material contents,teaching method,students’ literacy and ability to geographic.But middle school GIS education in our country is still not very mature compared with abroad,there are a lot of problem need to improve.This topic is on the basis of consulting a large number of dementia and foreign literature,discussing the sense of GIS in the high school geography curriculum and the possibility of GIS application in the high school geography teaching.And on this basis,analysing GIS teaching material and teach about our country and other reign,through survey and comparison,analysing problems existing in the teaching material and teaching in our country,making the corresponding reflection,putting forward the corresponding strategy.The paper adopts literature method、comparison method and survey method.This article is divided into five chapters,the first chapter is Introduction,it introduces the motivation and the contents of the study.The second chapter discusses the development of GIS education process,and discusses the research situation in GIS education and GIS teaching materials.The third chapter compare the differences of content in mainland China and abroad. The fourth chapter survey the implementation of GIS teaching and comparing the difference of teaching practice between our country and abroad.The last chapter introduced the insufficiency and prospect of the study.
