There is a widespread controversy that self-regulated learning is an effective or ineffective learning approach between the theorists and practitioners for a long time, which lead the self-regulated learning to a binary opposition of theory and practice. Validly specking, two key reasons, one is the structural model has not been studied systematically in theory and the other is the practice situation has not been investigated objectively in practice for effect self-regulated learning, should contribute to that phenomenon. Therefore, faced with incompletes in theory and urgent demands in practice, this research attempts to start from the logic original point of the study question and base on the perspective of conceptual model to explore the measurement indexes accounted of the theory construction, develop the questionnaire focused on the model construction, and examine the practice situation located in the model application. So the whole thesis can be divided five parts totally:The first part is the introduction. This part is the front part of this thesis, and mainly states some basic issues such as the topic reasons, literature review, theory basis, concept definition and study design. It’s noteworthy that the part of study design involves some core issues, for instance, the research questions and hypotheses, research purposes and significances, research thoughts and methods.The second part is the theory construction. This part adopts qualitative research paradigm including literature review and interview analysis to clarify the multidimensional features and explore the measurement indexes of effect self-regulated learning. It’s found out that effective self-regulated learning is a second-order and multidimensional concept composed of four primary dimensions which are consist of ten secondary dimensions. Namely, stimulate learning motivations (high self-efficacy, mastery goal orientation, internal control and stable attribution), master learning methods (superficial methods, deep methods and general methods), control learning behaviors (meta-cogitation control, volition control) and adjust learning conditions (social conditions, material conditions).The third part is the model construction. This part adopts quantitative research paradigm and fellows the strict inventory procedures, in terms of item analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and reliability and validity test sequentially after the initial questionnaire compiled and the preliminary survey data collected, to complete the construction of measurement model. It’s found out that the theory construction of effective self-regulated is consistent with the actual data highly and the reliability and validity of this scale are relatively good.The fourth part is the model application. This part adopts qualitative and quantitative research paradigm synthetically, by selecting 3611 middle school students to take up questionnaire survey and 12 teachers to participate in individual interview in Chengdu-Chongqing region, to examine the practice situation. It’s found out that the overall performances of effective self-regulated learning present an ordinary level; some factors such gender, native place, family children structure, study period, grade and school location affect the performances of effective self-regulated learning to some extent; the average index and each dimension of effective self-regulated learning has a positively predictiive function to the academic records significantly. After analysed and discussed, some problems such as the traditional teaching concepts, lacking teacher’s guidance, and dehumanized learning environments, profoundly hinder the students to carry on the effective self-regulated learning. So the teachers should reform teaching concepts, carry out effective teaching, and optimize the learning environment to assist the students to learn more effectively.The fifth part is the research rethinking. This part summarizes the whole research detailedy from the processes and conclusions, innovations and deficiencies, improvements and outlooks. The innovations of this research contain uniqueness of research perspective, diversity of research method, and creativity of research content; the deficiencies obtain that the theory construction remains to be further perfected, the measurement model needs to be revised continually, the survey samples lacks of comprehensiveness and the orientation inclines practice seriously. The follow-up research should improve and perfect those deficiencies firstly and then promote the research achievements through various ways...
