One of the notable features of the curriculum reform is to change students’ learning style. The new curriculum proposed that students should form the self-regulated, cooperated and inquiry learning style. However, under the background of College Entrance Exam changing fate and creating future, the traditional teaching style is still in vogue. Therefore, how to form effective ways is the starting point of this article.In the first part, the writer combed the definition and features of self-regulated learning and reviewed the situation of the self-regulated learning research home and abroad. Meanwhile, the writer proposes that self-regulated learning is an urgent requirement of the age, the modern society, the modern education and the modern people. In the second part, the writer linked theory with practice, studied the situation of high school through investigation,and draw a conclusion as follows:(1) Overall, the senior students’ self-regulated learning ability is at medium level;(2) Students lack motivation and confidence and are used to accepting knowledge passively; Students are lacking in planning ability and the efficiency of managing time is not high; They are not good at reviewing and previewing; Much attention is paid to grades and the evaluation system is not mature; They are not good at using material resourses and social resources;(3) There is a gender difference in self-regulated learning. Girls tend to do better than boys in this aspect;(4)There is no significant difference between arts and science students;(5) There is a slow growth trend from Grade 1 students to Grade 2 and Grade 3 students. Based on the investigation, analysis and the problems it reflected, the writer put forward some self-regulated study suggestions for administrative department for education, schools, teachers and students themselves in order to improve senior students’ self-regulated leaning ability.
