Objective:In order to provide theoretical data to the study of obesity we studied the changing rule of the body shape index and obesity related index of adult (20-59 years) and analyzed the main factors of obese people during 2005-2010 of Shanxi Province.Methods:We adopt the national physique monitoring data of two tests during 2005-2010, and extracted the Shanxi adults (20-59 years old, Wherein,2005 16,893 people in 2010,30,155 people) body shape form and questionnaire data from 11 regional monitoring stations in Shanxi Province. Using statistical and mathematical statistics analyzed changes of height, weight, BMI, waist circumference, hip circumference, waist-hip ratio, triceps skinfold such as Body Physique, and further using body mass (BMT), waist-hip ratio (WHR) two indicators of obesity-related features in-depth analysis of changes in Shanxi obesity and clarify its influencing factors.Result:1.2005-2010, BMI significantly increased the magnitude of the crowd including:20-24-year-old city physical man,25-29-year-old rural and city physical men,30-34-year-old three kinds of men and relevant age group of non-manual men and city women,40-44-year-old three kinds of urban and rural men,45-49-year-old rural women,54-54-year-old non-manual men and rural woman,50-59-year-old rural men and women; There is no obvious BMI decrease amplitude of crowd. Waist-to-hip ratio significantly increased amplitude of the crowd mainly includes:25-29-year-old rural and non-manual city women,30-34-year-old three kinds of women, 35-39-year-old physical and non-manual city women, eight age women in waist-to-hip ratio are the obvious changes, men for this change during 2005-2010 was not significant, there is no WHR decreasing amplitude obviously.2. There are significant differences between 20-24-year-old and 30-34-year-old in 2005, BMI index in obese women. There are no significant differences between the other age groups and all over 29. The main factors affecting the two ages BMI except for physical exercise there may be other behavioral factors. There are significant differences between 30-34-year-old and 40-44-year-old in female obese WHR. Eight age country is generally higher than city, Slow growth increases with age, the main factors influencing the two ages for occupational and physical exercise. There are no significant differences between BMI and WHR of same age male.3. There are significant differences between 20-24-year-old and 30-34-year-old in 2010, BMI index in obese women. After the age of 39 is relatively stable.The main influence factor is the level of education and walking, static days every week. There are significant differences between 20-24-year-old and35-39-year-old in female obese waist-to-hip ratio. The main factors influencing the waist-to-hip ratio of 20-24-year-old were fried food consumption and number of days per week for a walk. The main factors influencing the waist-to-hip ratio of 35-39-year-old were the other behaviors in life. There are no significant differences between BMI and waist-to-hip ratio.4. The results showed,there were different results between WHR and BMI index for determining obesity.Conclusion:1.2005-2010, Shanxi adult obesity BMI, WHR showed a significant trend of flat or increase in the overall. BMI in different gender groups in both the increasing trend evident increase in WHR is more obvious in the female population.2.Wherein,2005 obese BMI and WHR in obese women crowd obvious differences, all three types of urban and rural areas in the two indicators is relatively large rural women, men obese BMI and WHR was no significant difference. BMI and obesity affect women WHR main factors for physical exercise, which factors as well as professional nature 20-24,30-34-year-old obese woman two indicators.3.2010 obesity BMI and WHR is more obvious differences in the ages 39 years of age, people over 39 years old leveled two indicators change, men of obesity BMI and WHR was no significant difference in ratio. BMI and obesity affect women WHR main factors for physical exercise. Two factors which influence obesity 20-24,25-29-year-old woman’s level of education as well as fried foods and drinking, and the main factors affecting obese women aged 35-39 WHR may be life other behavioral factors.4.The results of this study showed that WHR and BMI produce different results determine obesity, WHR of this indicator can be obese obese male female characteristics obviously reflected, while a BMI in obese men and women have certain distinguishing limitations; WHR can only reflect the characteristics of the waist and hip fat, not very clearly shows the overall body shape features, so we recommend try to combine a comprehensive analysis of the specific characteristics of the two indicators of obesity in obesity interventions work.
