Research On Development Strategy Of S City Radio And TV University In Community Education

The requirement of improving lifelong education system and building a learningsociety, proposed by Communist Party of China Central Committee, is a great goal ofimproving the quality of the whole people and promoting social harmony. Communityeducation occupies an extremely important position in the process of achieving this goal.The Radio&TV University systems all over the country, in the course of running moderndistance education, size up the situation and realize that the characteristics of being open,autonomic and throughout the life of modern distance education is in unison with thecharacteristics of being universal, lifelong and independent of a learning society, graduallymaking clear the orientation and goals of Radio&TV University in promoting lifelongeducation. The practices of S city Radio&TV University’s learning from the experience ofcommunity education of other areas, making use of the advantages of Radio&TVUniversity system to provide service for community education, building lifelongeducational system and exploring effective ways of serving a learning society are boththeoretical and practical issues with great significance.Literature method, interview method and investigation method are adopted in thisthesis. Taking building a learning society as the great background, the paper introduces thedeveloping history and present situation of S city Radio&TV University and makes adetailed analysis of external and internal environment of developing community education,making a SWOT analysis and a strategic choice. It also puts forward the developmentstrategies for S city Radio&TV University to improve community education and givesguarantee measures in policy. It is expected that this thesis can play a guiding role both intheory and in practice in the development of the community education of S city Radio&TV University, which is still in primary stage.
