Ideological and political theory as a discipline, its teaching methods has been the concern of the ideological and political education teaching researchers and practitioners. Participatory teaching method is a kind of teaching mode of the current, refers to students to participate in the process of learning behavior characteristics and its law of development as the basis, to create a democratic, equal and harmonious classroom atmosphere, to mobilize students’ learning desire and arouse the students’ development needs as the core, with students in such aspects as feeling, thinking, action, active, cheerful to participate in the learning process as the basic characteristics, let students have different levels of active participation and active the opportunity of the development of a kind of teaching method.Participatory teaching method has the characteristics of three aspects:one is the students as the center, emphasizing the students’ actual participation and experience; The second is a process of teachers and students learn from each other and improve together. Three is the teaching forms, students’ diversified development and comprehensive evaluation of diversification. Ideological and political theory class USES the participatory teaching method, not only is a basic requirement of the nature of the ideological and political theory course content, or requirements of the university students’ personality pursuing independence and freedom, but also the objective requirement of solving the problem of college ideological instruction guidance bottlenecks. Participatory teaching method is helpful to study political theory closely-is, is beneficial to relieve the contradictions of classroom teachers and students both sides, to help students free personality development.Ideological and political theory class exist in the process of participatory teaching method to use narrow nationality, participate in quality is not high; Lack of innovation, to participate in the form of monotonous; Using the rough, poor teaching effect and a series of problems. The reasons of these problems, a surge of colleges and universities, the teaching classroom capacity is too big; Teacher idea lag, study the teaching method is not enough; Lack of relevant conditions, lack of positive interaction between teachers and students, etc. To solve above problems and reasons, in the process of ideological and political theory course teaching to strengthen the effect of the participatory approach, in the following aspects need to work hard. First of all, to consummate the grouping, constructs the related situation, enhance the interest of teaching. This requires that the classroom teaching to reproduce real life situation, in the form of lively and make full use of modern means. Next to cultivate innovation quality, improve student ability, to realize teaching interaction. This requires education teaching attaches great importance to the student individuality development, cultivate students’ innovative quality and strengthen the students’ comprehensive quality. Finally established the modern concept, pay attention to the learning efficiency, enhance teaching effectiveness. This requires students to pay attention to understand the basic principle in learning situations, in the theoretical study on the knowledge system, pay attention to use theory to guide in the autonomous learning.
