Study On Coastal Sports Events Development Situation And Development Strategies In The Area Of Northern Guangxi Gulf

This study mainly utilizes methods of documentation, methods ofquestionnaires, methods of field survey and mathematical statistics methods.According to operational management of sports events and SWOT theory, thisstudy analyzes coastal sports events development situation in the area of northernGuangxi gulf and put forward corresponding strategies for the existing problems.The conclusions of this study are: coastal sports events in the area ofnorthern Guangxi gulf generally have a good masses foundation and theenthusiasm to hold events; the level of coastal sports events in the area of northernGuangxi gulf and the operations management needs to be improved. Shortage ismainly showed: the level of events is not high, international tournaments is notenough, and size and influence is very small; event operations and managementare not scientific, and there are so many problems such as committee institutionalsettings is not reasonable, event management talents are not enough, andsponsorship fees are a little low.Coastal sports events in the area of northern Guangxi gulf has significantadvantages and disadvantages and opportunities, and weaknesses and threats canbe handled properly. The favorable size (the advantages and opportunities) ofrunning coastal sports events in the area of northern Guangxi gulf are as follows:coastal resource location, obvious location advantages, gradually improved traffic,many policy support, adequate source markets and so on. Negative aspects(weaknesses and threats) are showed: inadequate event facilities are, unsoundeconomic strength, lack of sports talent, homogeneous competition and coastalevents pollution, etc.People in the area of northern Guangxi gulf hosted optimistic and positiveattitude for running coastal sports events. Embodied in: People support runningcoastal sports events, and they think that the role of resources, transportation,regional conditions works greater; the way people obtain events informationmainly through television channels and networks, and love advantage or ethnic characteristics Guangxi coastal sports; while they think running coastal events notonly does good to increase income and employment opportunities but alsoincreases the visibility and image of the city.This study proposes the following measures: northern Guangxi gulf coastalsports events should adopt scientific management methods, standardizedoperation and management of the coastal sports events; government shouldintensify all-round support to encourage all the society to fund running coastalsports events; tournament organizers should focus on coastal sports managementpersonnel training and introduction; from a macro point of view, we shouldrecognize the merits and weakness of the coastal sports events itself, highlight theethnic and geographical characteristics, and improve the level of events; coastalsports events propaganda should be hosted throughout the process of publicityand we should strive to establish a coastal city sports events image; we should payspecial attention to environmental protection and try to understand the concept ofsustainable development of coastal sports events from the multi level.
