Contemporary academy is the kind of supplementary system to the educationsystem, which was existed in the living background of modern times and independentto the official educational system. In addition that it was passed from/connected withthe ancient academy. The reappearance of academies also provided people the spaceof freedom towards the education and culture. But we are still lack of systemicknowledge and investigation about the contemporary academies, including the style ofits creation, the educational activities of contemporary academies, the cause of itsbirth. And then, we are also deficient in understanding and support. The situation doesnot in accordance with the requirement of promotes Chinese traditional culture anddevelop Chinese literacy. And, of course, it is also inconsistent with such principleswhich have risen in the central party congress. The Party’s general and specificpolicies are contained like promote Chinese culture and build the common spiritualhome for the Chinese nation; the construction of the excellent traditional cultureinheritance also included. The contemporary academy is not just acts on the orders offine tradition of ancient academies, but also mutual push forward each other with thetrend of crazy for traditional Chinese culture. Contemporary academies is a valuablenational culture education institution, and also as a good place for analysis on learning,for development of teenagers and publicize the traditional culture. Moreover, thecontemporary academy can civilize local people, improve natives’ Chinese literacyand promote the construction of local spiritual, culture.As for the report, it adopted field research method and literature research method;selected some academies which was representative among others to investigate.Through the analysis of its background and elaborate on the current developmentsituation, we can also classify academies into different types according to the differentstandard. And then, from several aspects as follows to analyses academies’educational activities: the curriculum provision, the organizational form of teaching,teaching method and teaching management. Furthermore, the research into problemshave existed in the national culture education are necessary. After that, the essay has aclear illustration on the production of cause and cultural value of contemporary.Finally, I have put forward some ideas and suggestions towards the futuredevelopment of Contemporary Academy. In order to promote its development inhealthy direction and good order.
