This study adopts the method of combining quantitative and qualitative.Main purpose is to understand the basic situation of our country’s higher education graduate student major identity as well as the influence factors.And to explore the different demographic background variables (gender, grade, major choices and school level) in major identity and the differences of influence factors.Sample of this research mainly adopts cheap on the selection of sampling. Extraction of Zhejiang Normal University, Guangxi Normal University, Yunnan Normal University and East China Normal University, Huazhong Normal University, Huazhong University of science and technology, a total of116higher education as the subjects of master graduate student. According to the data from field investigation and data analysis and interviews, the research conclusion:1.Higher education in major identity of postgraduate in the medium with a slightly on the overall level.2. Major identity and its different dimensions, influence factors and its different dimensions in the population, there exist some difference in the degree of different background variables.3. Higher education graduate student major identity within extremely significant correlation between each dimension. Through regression analysis found that specialty cognitive effects on professional behavior than emotional impact on professional behavior.4. The influence factors of higher education of postgraduate major identity within extremely significant correlation between each dimension. Through regression analysis found that the teaching effect on employment than learning support conditions effects on employment.5. Major identity scores and influencing factors of total score is extremely significant correlation. Professional identity=21.553is obtained by regression analysis, the influencing factors.6. Major identity and influencing factors of total score extremely significant correlation between each dimension. Regression analysis, the largest contribution to the learning support conditions on the professional identity, Followed by employment factors, again is teaching factor.7. Student individual itself is intrinsic factors affecting higher education graduate student major identity.
