Sports dancing is a new sports item, can exercise and mental and physical pleasure, havebeen the subject of school teachers and students are widely recognized and popular.According to the " National Fitness Program " and " the CPC Central Committee and StateCouncil on strengthening juvenile sports and improve the health of young people ’s opinion "of the spirit, to young people as the focus of primary and middle school students’ artisticactivities rich content, to provide them with good quality art education resources, build goodcampus culture environment, guide the elementary and middle school students in diverseforms, rich and colorful extracurricular activities, in order to promote the healthy growth ofyoung students, harmonious development. Whether from the art education and physicaleducation in terms of dance sports content and form of quality education is also an importantembodiment of. Middle school sports dance is very popular among the students, that isconducive to students’ physical and mental development, but also in line with the newcurriculum reform in middle school sports teaching curriculum and the reformation anddevelopment of. Therefore in the high school offering sport dancing is consistent with thisteaching reform trend. Now sports dance rapidly into the middle school sports classroom inpositive activities also bring some of the deficiencies, so it is urgently needed to middleschool sports dance course situation analysis and research.This paper, through the research methods of literature reviewing, questionnaire surveying,mathematical statistics valuing, interview with Nanchang City middle schools’ aerobicsteaching, conducts a comprehensive investigation on the situation, and a comprehensiveanalysis and research depends on the survey results. Taking the requirements of middle schoolsports aerobics teaching as the standing point, this paper will provide a deep research onNanchang City middle school aerobics teaching status and the development of teachingmethod, which hopefully can support the development of Nanchang middle schools’ aerobicsteaching.Conclusion:1.The overall strength of aerobics teachers is relatively weak. PE teacher lack of theability of carrying out aerobics lectures. Most important thing is the number of professionalaerobics teacher is not enough to maintain aerobics teaching; 2.Aerobics teaching is already carried out in most Nanchang middle schools. However,text book is not well chosen and organized, teaching contents are not chosen wisely. Due tothe practicing is the main subject, teaching is not systematical consistent. Organizing ofaerobics can hard to be said diversified. Training field and equipments related are not good.And examination and events are very rare;3.Some schools do not value PE class as an important subject. That result in the supportfor those classes is not sufficient. For the new course development, it is hard to see selfmotivation from PE teacher. Meanwhile, leaders and teacher of schools do not take it as aserious matter;4.For aerobics, most students still do not have a good understanding, and can notrecognize the value of aerobics exercise could bring;5.Countermeasures for Nanchang City middle school aerobics Development:(1) updatethe idea of teaching; make sure leaders can pay attention on it; ensure the teaching target to beclear;(2) optimizing the teaching contents of aerobics, innovative aerobics teaching methods;(3) the aerobics teachers team need to be strengthened;(4) unified the aerobics teachingmaterials and make them scientific;(5) the atmosphere of exercising Aerobics in campus needto be enhanced, and aerobics sports’ facilities and teaching training funds should be increased.
