Research On Innovation In The Ideological And Political Education Methods Of The University Students Under The Multicultural Background

With the rapid development of globalization, economic, political, scientific and technicalinteractions between countries are frequent. The various cultural exchanges have beendeepened constantly and the abundance of foreign culture has been poured into our country,which has triggered some new culture ideological trends. These new thoughts and cultures notonly can enrich our cultural diversity, but also bring challenges to our mainstream culture,especially for young university students, who have been further effected by the exchange,integration and fierce collision of traditional culture and modern culture, mainstream cultureand non-mainstream culture, local culture and foreign culture.Among the various groups in our country, the most sensitive one to the conception ofcultural transmutation is contemporary university students. They are in special growth periodwith strong plasticity and variability and not fully formed in all respects, however, with thefast development of new media, the channels that they get messages are also increasing, thecultures that they have got access have different judgments, such as neoliberalism, extremeindividualism, pay hedonism, consumerism and other non-ideological thoughts, they have anegative impact on university students in values and behaviors, which cause the studentslacking of ideal and faith, national confidence and the sense of pride,and even politicalstandpoint and political conviction of university students are frailness and indefinite.Themulticulturalism has great impact on mainstream culture, which increases the blindness ofstudents’ moral choices. In the process of moral choice, social mainstream values and valuecriterion are no longer the only influential factors. If the university students can not identifyand select cultures seriously, this can easily lead to the moral crisis in real life.Under the background of the multiculturalism, university is the main fronts of ideologyand culture. Therefore, as the development of the times and the changes of externalenvironment, the ideological and political education methods of the university students should be improved and innovated pointedly, which can be set up correct “Three Outlooks” to givethem guidance when they are confused.Basing on the previous research of the ideological and political education methods and amultidisciplinary perspective of basic principles of Marxism, Sinicization of Marxism basicprinciples and principles of ideological and political education, combining the problems ofuniversity students who is under the multicultural background and the challenges to universitystudents’ ideological and political education work, which is caused by the multiculturalismand exploring the innovation in the ideological and political education methods, the thesis hasmainly explored five aspects to illustrate the means which are under the background ofmulticulturalism of the innovation in the ideological and political education methods, such ascultivation of university students’ subjective cultural characters, expanding students’second-class, using new media to promote college students’ ideological and politicaleducation and so on, which has provided the effective theories and reality references to acertain extent for the innovation in the ideological and political education methods.
