Parental involvement is that parents coordinate with other educatorsactively and attend to all the activities of education of their children, as wellas provide support, help and guidance which can be perceived by theirchildren, and is related to its academic and education resources. The basiceducation of rural and remote areas is the key that comprehensively propelcompulsory education development in our country, what’s more, with theincresing of academic task difficulty level in elementary school medium andhigh grades, it proposes higher requirements to the students’ thinkingdevelopment and ability of volition, at the same time the stage also is thecritical period of primary school students about many psychological healthydevelopment. Therefore, this study will focus on the medium and high gradesin rural primary school. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the effectrural parental involvement on academic achievement of the medium and highgrades students in primary school, correspondingly it has enlightenmentfunction that will promote rural primary school mental healthy education, andcan take relevant practical measures accordingly. This study mainly use theinterviewing method and questionnaire method, to research532primaryschool pupils in the Tumote you Banner in Baotou City, then take back thedata and carry on the T test, analysis of variance, etc. by the SPSS software,finally, draw the following conclusions:1.In the five dimensions of rural parental involvement, the communicationbetween parents and school, the expectation of parents, the supervision andurgency of parents exist significant differences on different grade levels;While the participation in the educational activities of parents, parent-childcommunication have no significant differences on it.2.In the five dimensions of rural parental involvement, the communication between parents and school, the expectation of parents, the supervision andurgency of parents, parent-child communication exist significant differenceson different parents’ levels of education; While the participation in theeducational activities of parents has no significant differences on it.3.In the five dimensions of rural parental involvement, the expectation ofparents, the supervision and urgency of parents, parent-child communicationexist significant differences on whether it is one-child; While thecommunication between parents and school, the participation in theeducational activities of parents have no significant differences on it.4.In the five dimensions of rural parental involvement, the expectation ofparents, the supervision and urgency of parents exist significant differences ondifferent levels of family incomes; While the communication between parentsand school, the participation in the educational activities of parents,parent-child communication have no significant differences on it.5.Rural parental involvement has significant effects on academicachievement of the medium and high grades students in primary school, thepupils’ academic achievement of high parental involvement is significantlymore excellent than the pupils’ academic achievement of low parentalinvolvement.
