Function is one of the important basic notions in the mathematics, and also is the maincontent in the middle vocational schools mathematics, but the function content is thedifficult point for the lower level students of the middle vocational schools, thus it putforward to the higher requirement for the teaching level of teachers. As a mathematicsteacher should how to analysis these difficult, and adopts what kind teaching method tohelp the students to study the mathematics.This study main through the thinking of teaching and the analysis of the knowledgecharacteristic of the middle vocational schools basic pattern function, and the investigationand analysis of the test papers answer situation of the middle vocational schools students,to know the current situation of students function learning. Following the editing demandand the evaluating standard of the new syllabus of the middle vocational schoolsmathematics, and the really learning situation of students, it gives the teaching design, toshow the new curriculum idea is how to reflect in teaching materials, so can explore theteaching method that can suit for the cognition rule of the middle vocational schoolsstudents, and attempt the study of the function teaching strategies, grope the teachingstrategies that suit for the characteristic of the vocational schools students and thecharacteristic of the subject, make the course of mathematics can serve the professional,meet the need of cultivate the gift of the vocational schools.
