As an intersection among the process of teaching and learning, homework isalways playing a vital role, it is not only the guarantee of subject teaching, butalso the extension and complement of after-class. As for teachers, assigninghomework is an important step of checking teaching effect and obtaining learningfeedback. As for students, finishing homework is a kind of revision andconsolidation of the knowledge they learnt. However, in order to get effect ofpassing knowledge instantly, teachers often pay more attention on classroom’sorganization and teaching, but neglect the design of homework.At the stage of junior middle school, quite a lot subjects’ teachers have beenaccustomed to using “Sea tactical issues”. Among those subjects, the feature ofEnglish itself, which cannot be without intensive practices, assists the tendency.The “output” of each stage however didn’t reach the effect the teachers expected.The randomness, the independence and non-hierarchy of homework madestudents weary and even generated resentment, which presented drawbacks suchas useless homework and repeated homework. In cycles, teachers’ mechanicalcorrections and hard work all become uselessness. Kinds of negative problemscaused by homework are badly in need of solutions, what kind of homework dostudents really need? What kind of homework can teachers give them on earth?As educational technology is bringing evolution to classroom teaching today,it has become a necessary need and tendency to open up a new trail forhomework. Based on the network of big data, cloud learning and mobilelearning, setting flexible homework which is suitable for the students is the basicand direction of the development. For one thing, the quality of homework mustbe guaranteed. For another thing, the quantity of homework shouldn’t be theburden for students and teachers. As for attempt, the aim of this paper is justfocus on this problem, taking the subject of English in junior middle school as anexample, not influencing the normal teaching, choosing flexible extensionhomework and personalized hierarchical mood to design and study. Exploringhow to make students prefer to do extension homework assigned and treat itcarefully, without giving up the basic writing practices, how to cut down the workload of teachers but have a good command of the feedback of students’homework at the same time, how to allow teachers needn’t to learn too muchtechnique and be easy to realize the personalized design of homework with theaid of modern tools.According to the theory that teaching and learning should be started off bythe practice, the need of students and putting emphasis on the personalized design,the writer combine the difficulty’s hierarchy of homework and extension ofinterest, break through the limitation of the knowledge on textbooks, with thehelp of the network, try to classify and integrate various of useful materials.During the month of teaching, let10students of each two classes taught toexperience, share and communicate the feelings, to promote in the later winterholidays in accordance with the realties.The whole process of study is under the guidance of Howard Gardner’stheory of Multiple Intelligence, Swain’s Output Hypothesis and Maslow’sHumanistic Theory, adopting literature research method, questionnaire method,case-study method and interview method. Not only aim to the content form ofhomework, hierarchical extension, to unfold, but aim to design and study theavailable evaluation project of homework on four kinds of typical platform suchas the type of cloud communication, the type of cloud SkyDrive, the type ofcloud dictionary and the type of cloud note, and dig the room it can still promote,to study the link of materials and application of the technology of platforms. Atthe end of this study, through feedback and analysis, the writer finds thatapplying hierarchical extension homework on cloud platform, has positiveinfluence on students’study interest and initiation, for students of different levels,they can reach the maximum extent of satisfaction as well. The design ofhomework’s form by teachers and pre-test, progress track and evaluation,encourage the students, and further more tap their potentials. The writer tries tocombine theory with practice, eager to open the prospect of the application ofcloud platform in regular homework, let teachers be more confident to apply suchmethod to efficiently aid teaching.
