| Under the background of continuously reform in the education and theholiday system in our country, increased high school students’ leisure time objectively,combined with the characteristics of Chengdu’s leisure culture, provides the necessarycondition to implement this study. The purpose of this paper is to exert the role of goodleisure education, guide and help students to make full use of their spare time, improvethe quality of leisure, and cultivate the students’ healthy and positive leisure attitude,leisure values, skills and leisure habits.On the basis of literature review and the mastered research materials, combinedwith related research level, the writer puts forward the research goal. Through themethods of questionnaire and interview, the investigation is implemented to Chengduhigh school students in the following aspects: leisure time, leisure activities, leisureeducation implementation situation, etc.. The writer gets a general description of theresult of the investigation by analyzing the data in four aspects: the quantity of students’leisure time; the contents of the leisure activity; the quality of the leisure activitycontents; evaluations to the leisure education. Combined with the existing relatedresearch, make some simple analysis on the results of the study. Finally summarize theresults of the survey, discuss the existing problems of leisure education to Chengdu highschool students and their reasons, and put forward some discussion and suggestions. Atthe same time, think into how to change the theory into practice to promote thedevelopment of leisure education in high school. This study will offer certain guidingsignificance to the high school students, high schools, parents and the whole societywhen they face the high school education after the implementation of a new round ofthe College Entrance Examination System Reform and the University of TalentSelection System Reform.
