The Study Of Industrial Heritage And Museum Of Industry Collecting Exhibits In Chongqing

With the emergence of worldwide cultural heritage protection,industrial heritage,asa kind of special cultural heritage resources, in recent years, has increasingly attractedpeople’s attention.Concerning the protection of industrial heritage, the western countrieshave adopted a variety of modes coexist methods and achieved good results.InChina,many areas learn from the advanced experience of foreign countries to explorethe mode of protection of industrial heritage.Because of the particularity of industrialheritage and dominance of Chinese government, industrial museum is regarded as themain mode of conservation of the industrial heritage.Chongqing as an old industrial base in China, some enterprises can be traced backto the period of port and Westernization Movement, and these enterprises developed andgrew in the war of resistance against Japan and the three line construction,now theyhave retained a large number of valuable industrial heritage.With the arrival of theinverse industrialized society and the conduct of urban industrial enterprisesenvironmental relocation project of Chongqing,the fate of industrial heritage is facedwith challenge again.After the hundred years of Chongqing steel relocated, city halldecided to concentrate the important mobile industrial heritage and constructChongqing Industrial Museum in Dadukou section steel plant on the basis ofreservation.Over a year,the author participated in the construction of the Chongqing IndustrialMuseum project,write the paper on-the-spot investigation and interview.The paperconsists of five parts.The first part introduces the basic concept and researchsignificance and points out that industrial museum becomes the important mode ofindustrial heritage protection.The second part discusses the industrial heritage ofChongqing,first introduces the history of industrial development in Chongqing, thensummarizes the situation of Chongqing industrial heritage, industrial heritage inChongqing area is facing loss and inadequate protection, so it’s necessary to constructthe Chongqing industrial museum.The third part mainly introduces the construction of Chongqing Industrial Museum from the construction background, construction planningand the social resources to be used.the fourth part introduces the collection of exhibitsof Chongqing industrial museum, include the formulation of collection measures, thebody of collection, the form and scope of collection,the storage of exhibits,thearrangement of materials, the situation and problem of collection.The fifth part is thesummary of this paper, making recommendations for the problems in the process ofcontrcting.As the first research paper on the construction of Chongqing’s industrial museum, Itstems from the author’s feeling in study and practice of the process of contraction,sothis paper has important theoretical and practical significance.
