Biologicalexperiment is crucial for the formation of the students scientific literacy, and it is animportant part of the biology textbook.Through literature and comparative research methods, the experimental part oftwo courses were studied from the curriculum objectives, course period and content,the teaching method and means as well as experimental evaluation methods andstandards, thus draws the following conclusion1.82%of IB teachers believe that the current experiment aims to improvestudents ability of thinking and problem solving, while71%of Shanghai teachersbelieve that the current experiment is to accumulate knowledge and principle; Thereare more students in IB curriculum than Shanghai curriculum like the currentexperimental content, teaching method as well as evaluation criteria, through whichthey think different experimental skills can be developed.2.The goal of IB biological experimental curriculum is to make the students inlearning process knows the facts and truth, master the methods of learning as well ascultivate students communication and understanding ability. Emphasis on learning bydoing and showing respect for life. The goal of Shanghai biological experimentalcurriculum is knowledge oriented, they guide students concerned about importantsocial issues, cultivate good experimental habits.3.IB biological curriculum emphasis on experiments, the experimental period issufficient.
