The national curriculum of primary school English in China has been implemented for more than ten years, with the deepening of the understanding for English teaching, make people begin to pay close attention to all aspects of the primary school English teaching. The Ministry of education in2011revision of The National English Curriculum Criteria, the most prominent adjustment for the primary school English teaching, which is to reduce the number of words. Clearly identified at the end of the primary school, students should master the number of words and content. This makes the primary school English vocabulary teaching to a new stage, therefore, it is necessary to study the current situation of primary school English vocabulary teaching, provide improvement strategies for more effective teaching, in order to promote the comprehensive development of students’ability to use language to provide support.The first part of the introduction includes the purpose, significance and methods of the study. Defining the meaning of primary school English vocabulary teaching improvement strategies, namely, according to the characteristics of the primary school teaching situation and students on the basis of English vocabulary teaching rules and goals, design and develop to improve the teaching effect, adjust the relationship between teachers and students and improve the teaching quality of concrete scheme and its implementation process. Improvement strategy emphasizes on teaching situation, students’ characteristics and the characteristics of combination. The second part of literature review, mainly from the domestic language characteristics, the learners and English curriculum standard, the primary school English vocabulary teaching contents were studied. From two aspects of specific vocabulary teaching and classroom teaching procedures, for primary school English vocabulary teaching strategies were studied. Foreign research has focused on vocabulary teaching strategies and different ways of vocabulary teaching strategies to improve. The third part from the second language acquisition theory, the study of information processing theory and constructivist teaching theory, discusses the theoretical basis of the research. The fourth part through to the English curriculum (2011edition),423words of secondary statistical analysis to form primary school English vocabulary is letters balanced, easy to memory and display, is advantageous to the characteristic of the subsequent vocabulary teaching cohesion. The fifth part through students’ questionnaire and teacher interview, invest primary school English vocabulary teaching status. Formed the neglect language skills teaching, the teaching activities don’t have enough depth and breadth, teachers and students tend to diminishing capability goals and students’ learning interest teaching problems. The last part, proposed improvements to the primary school English vocabulary teaching strategies, forms the reasonable organization to strengthen the teaching of language skills, and teaching activities, effective application of teaching strategies, to help students enhance learning interest and attaches great importance to the boys and girls learn characteristics of five main aspects of a series of teaching improvement strategy...
