‘Advance Organizer’ is a concept put forward USA cognitive psychologistAusubel in the last century60’s, the cognitive structure has some universal significanceof the concept, background material. Then the following Meyer et al study anddevelopment. The advance organizer teaching paradigm from cognitive structurevariables change students, to bridge the gap between new knowledge and oldknowledge students have to learn new knowledge, to promote understanding and the oldknowledge maintenance. This paper is based on the background of the new curriculumreform of basic education, look through the research and practice, the advance organizerof this teaching model is applied to the teaching of Chinese reading, finally to changeteaching methods to promote the comprehensive development of junior middle schoolstudents.In this paper, the relevant theory of reading teaching and the Advance OrganizerTeaching Paradigm are reviewed, based on the design of the Advance OrganizerTeaching Paradigm in the principles and strategies used in the teaching of Chinesereading, and apply it to the specific teaching cases, the teaching case analyzes methodapplication of advance organizer paradigm, to through classroom teaching practice ofthe Advance Organizer Teaching Paradigm in the teaching of students in language,emotion, thinking, language knowledge the formation of the Chinese reading. First ofall, the advance organizer paradigm allows students to create and readingcomprehension, using existing knowledge; Secondly, improve students’ learningmotivation level, optimization of the teaching of Chinese reading, Third, trainingstudents’ ability of independent thinking, independent learning. In addition, to guidestudents to make a variable repeated practice in similar reading situations and differentreading situations, to enable students to experience the effectiveness of reading, and letstudents experience the proper application and inappropriate application conditions. Thestudents completed a cognitive learning ability have the migration, transformation, toachieve the optimal effects of reading, cultivating high level reading ability.Through analysis of the literature and case study, the author thinks that the teacherscan be properly by scientific Advance Organizer Paradigm, careful and reasonabledesign in the teaching of reading ‘advance organizer’, put it in the reading teaching, the teachers’ teaching monitoring ability, the students’ ability of readingcomprehension and teaching efficiency can be of great advantage.
