The Analysis Of Ordinary Colleges’ Football Elective Lesson In Gansu Province

As the world’s first sport,football is very popular among college students.It cannot only improve students’health but also train students’cooperation ability.All theuniversities in Gansu province have set football as a elective course for theirstudent.How is this policy implemented?This thesis analyses the teachingconditions,faculty,and teaching environment of the12universities in Gansuprovince.The thesis finally finds out the factors of restricting the development ofcollege football course and the suggestions to the reform of college football course inGansu province.Conclusions:1.The equipment and facilities of colleges and universities in Gansuprovince can basically meet the demand of football elective courses,but it still can notmeet the demand of the students’extracurricular football activities;2.From the angle ofteachers’age,degree and title structures,it can basically meet the demand of collegeelective football course for the students;3.Some universities in Gansu province don’tpay enough attention to this course,so it caused the result that some classes containtoo many students,some even more then40;This is not convenient for the students tomaster football skill.4.The ways of teaching are mostly too traditional and plain,notattractive enough,so it can not arouse the students’passion for football;5.The test offootball teaching qualities is not scientific enough,so it caused unscientificoutcome;6.Some of the universities in Gansu do not pay enough attention to thecourse of PE,so the football environment has not been set up.Suggestions:1.The universities in Gansu province should invest more fund infootball teaching,make full use of current football courts;2.Young PE teachers shouldbe given more opportunities to practice,and their scientific research ability should alsobe paid attention to;3.Increase the number of football courses in university,help thestudents to form a good sense of sports;4.Further complete the ways of testingstudents’football ability.Physical fitness and performances in class should both bepaid attention to;5.Univerisities in Gansu province should provide the students more chances to take part in the football game,help them create a better footballenvironment in universities.
