Along with the process of the teaching reform in Higher Vocational Collegesconstantly, in order to meet the requirement of students, colleges and universitiesphysical education teaching should further change educational thoughts, renew theeducation idea, active exploration of new teaching methods, in accordance with thecharacteristics of the times, to ensure the improvement of teaching results, toachieve the goal of teaching. Under this background, the author studied thehierarchical teaching to explore the teaching method, the teaching effect of physicaleducation in Higher Vocational colleges.In this paper, using literature, expert interviews, teaching experiment,questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and logical analysis and other methodsof stratified teaching "theoretical basis","teaching program","the meaning ofteaching method" in areas such as in-depth and meticulous research. At the sametime, the method of teaching experiment in Hunan Vocational College of Science andTechnology Wushu Elective Course Teaching of grade2011in Hunan VocationalCollege of Science and Technology, the experimental object is Wushu elective class,the experimental class using the hierarchical teaching, the control class usingtraditional teaching method. By comparing experimental data reflecting thehierarchical teaching method than the conventional teaching method teaching moreelective in martial arts colleges and universities for students to master basic skill ofWushu and improve students’ physical quality; to enhance their learningself-confidence, to create favorable conditions, to encourage their initial success, thepositive reinforcement self-confidence, improve the students’ passion for learningmartial arts, can stimulate students interest in learning; learning motivation;cultivate students better learning ability, guidance ability and practice ability.Through systematic research process, one of the above aspects, summed up theteaching method, teaching scientific design, reasonable embodied; health education;teaching process optimization; learning efficiency; harmonious relationship betweenteachers and students and teaching level effectively improve teachers. On the otherhand, the paper expounded the difference and connection between the stratifiedteaching method and traditional teaching method. Therefore, stratified teachingmethod in Wushu Teaching of colleges and universities as an elective course, canimprove the efficiency of classroom teaching, improve the effect of classroomteaching. Application on technology of Public Physical Education in Colleges anduniversities.
