With the development of society and the deepening reform of higher education,colleges and universities in the connotation of development.Teaching staff pressure isalso on the rise, which is bound to affect their mental health if we cann’t cope verywell. It has important practical significance to explore the influencing factors andcoping strategies of the pressure of university staff on their mental health level, toenhance their response to stress and improve the level of their mental health.This study adopted the self-made "teaching staff in colleges and universitiesstress scale" and "mental health self-assessment scale (SCL-90)" on the NanchangUniversity,867faculty investigation.The results showed that:(1)The university staff experience a certain degree of pressure from thecareer development and family or dating, especially work experience pressure fromthe most intense.(2)Although university faculty mental health is generally good, but10.0%detection rate of psychological problems caused by organizational and individualneeds close attention.(3)University staff stress and mental health differences in demographicvariables, including differences in gender, job, education, position, title and length ofservice caused the most significant.(4)The presence of university staff stress and mental health were significantlynegatively correlated, that is the greater the pressure, the lower the level of mentalhealth.This study suggests that university staff to enhance resilience and enhancemental health staff need to start from the four aspects of personal, social, school andfamily:First, individual faculty members need to improve mental health awareness,establish a rational cognition, self-improvement, scientific regulation of emotions,improve resilience of frustration.Second, the community should vigorously promote respect for teachers,emphasis on teaching, and create a good social support system.Third, the school management should be based on "people-oriented"management’s focus will be to "service" transferred from "management" and mental health services into schools serving large systems.Fourth, improve family psychological support systems, and let’s mental healthliteracy into the faculty families.
