The physical education teaching material is the student studies the resources and tools, with other learning material the role that cannot be replaced. The quality of the physical education teaching material in height, can reflect current situation of the development of the physical education discipline, and cultivation of talents and subject to have significant influence on the development of. The physical education teaching material as a textbook important constituent, has been specialists and scholars concern and study important issue.This research is divided into three parts content, which use a literature data method, research method, the sampling survey method and mathematical statistics. The first part of the research for the introduction and study of the theoretical foundation, preface part is the study of the research background, significance, introduces the research ideas, contents and methods, and the existing domestic and foreign materials research and empirical survey applicability was summarized, the applicability to the teaching material of the relevant literature was sorting out and analyzing, for this research laid a foundation. Based on the theory of teaching materials and the applicability of the first related concepts are introduced, and on the basis of defining the core concept of this study.The second part was the empirical research section. First shows the problem discussed in this paper are introduced, and the implementation of the investigation process and data analysis method; Through five districts of shenyang15middle school physical education teachers, students’questionnaires, get relevant data, use of SPSS this investigation of the data statistics and analysis the influence of various factors of teaching material suitability.The third part according to the empirical research of parts and get that:(1) by page limit, the teaching materials of three years a volume of not convenient use;(2) students by their own conditions, teaching material is difficult to play the role of social adaptation;(3) by the size of the class type restrictions, some schools use per capita equipment shortage.
