‘One Belt And One Road’ Initiative Of Our Country And Its New Impacts On China-EU Relations

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China(CPC) Central Committee,proposed ‘One Belt and One Road’ initiative in 2013.It causes widespread concern of the international community,it also gets a positive corresponding from the countries of the European Union.‘One Belt and One Road’ initiative is the inheritance and development of the ancient Silk Road,it has a richer connotation.The initiative has achieved significant results in more than two years, financial security agencies are established successfully,many cooperation agreements are signed,and many cooperation projects have been accomplished.The initiative can lead the economic development of China and the countries along,it also can promote global peace and stability.In the 21 st century,China-EU relations deepened gradually, bilateral relations drive forward on the whole.However, some contradictions and problems are still difficult to solve.It is a development initiative which is involved in the common interests of China and the EU,it has brought many new impacts to China-EU relations.China and the EU political trust increases gradually, the areas of cooperation continue to broaden,cultural exchanges become closer since the initiative carried out.The initiative brings new opportunities to China-EU,China and the EU should catch the opportunities to promote further development of bilateral relations.Our country should intensify propaganda and strengthen China-EU communication in multiple levels to make the Europeans understand our country.Our country should improve the construction of China-EU cooperation mechanisms and improve laws and regulations to provide a reliable institutional guarantee for European companies.We should optimize the investment environment and expand cooperation areas.Besides,our country should pay attention to cooperate with important stakeholders such as Russia and the USA to smooth the road for China-EU cooperations.
