Blast traces research is an important content of terrorist explosion scene analysis. Traces characteristics of soil and metal square plate under blasting was systematic studied by numerical simulation method in this paper, the following main achievements were obtained.AUTODYN software was used to systematic study the trace characteristics of soil under blasting of different explosion location(under soil, contact, and above soil) and different charge. Obtained the crater forming process under different explosion condition(under soil, contact, and above soil), and under the condition of the various types of explosion, the influence law of charging depth(charging height) and charge on visible crater diameter and depth, further analysis the relation of visible crater diameter and depth to the charge depth(charge height) and charge.ls-dyna software was used to systematic study the trace characteristics of different type(different size, thickness and material) clamped metal square plate under different explosion condition. Obtained deformation process and trace characteristics parameters of different size, thickness and material metal square plate, further analysis the influence law of metal plate size, thickness, detonation distance and charge on the maximum deformation and the final shape, and the square plate position of maximum strain distribution, and to compare the trace characteristics of Q235 steel and 70 series aluminum, obtained the influence of metal material on the maximum deformation, the final shape and position of maximum strain distribution rule.The researching achievements of this paper reveals the relation between the initial conditions and the trace characteristics, can provide the basis for terrorist explosion scene analysis.
