A Research On Core Value Cultivation Of Contemporary Soldiers For Students Of Military Academies

Core value is the most fundamental and stable part in the values system, contemporary revolutionary soldiers’ core values is the ideological basement of Chinese army’s survival and development. Under current background, there are great changes take place in the international and domestic environment in political and economical areas, most of the soldiers can learn and practice under the contemporary revolutionary soldiers’ core values, but there are more and more problems against the requirement of contemporary revolutionary soldiers’ core values. There for, as the basement of the future military modernization, the cultivate of contemporary revolutionary soldiers’ core values in military university students has a significantly important sense.The first chapter analyzes the importance of core values and cultivate of contemporary revolutionary soldiers’ core values from ethical, philosophical, political and pedagogical views. In Chapter Two, we analyze the main content of contemporary revolutionary soldiers’ core values which can be summarized as loyalty to the Party, love the people, serve the country, devote mission and advocate honor. These five phrases connected with each other and combine an organic entirety. In Chapter Three, we analyze steps of cultivating contemporary revolutionary soldiers’ core values and its necessity. It is of course that political education is the serviceman’s required course which plays a role in the development of soldiers. More important, university period is the gold time to cultivate students’ values. There are four steps in contemporary revolutionary soldiers’ core values cultivation saying learning, acknowledging, recgonising and practicing. In Chapter Four, we analyze how to cultivate contemporary revolutionary soldiers’ core values. According to the five components of contemporary revolutionary soldiers’ core values, the following methods can be used. The first is to promote the political education especially emphasize the role transformation and method alternative. The second is to strengthen practice training which can be consisted with training, military exercise and important tasks. The third is to edify by colorful culture including building rich spirit life, setting up the correct public opinion guide and models. The forth is to establish regime as guarantee to emphasize the importance of political education and relevant assessment mechanism.
