| Social mobility is an important theoretical and practical problem in the contemporary society. It has caused the great attention of scholars both in China and abroad. Along with the transformation of the society, social mobility appeared new characteristics and trends of development in China. Prior to our reform and opening up, closed and backward social seriously hindered the social mobility of people. This period, ascribed factors dominate the personal social mobility, and the social member’s identity and status is an inheritance of his parents status, and it is also difficult to change their social class after the efforts in a short period of time. Since the opening reform, rapid changes have taken place in our society. The rapid development of economy led to the development of urbanization, so on this basis, the scale of social mobility has to improve both in the quality and speed, including the social mobility of rural women. As the "vulnerable groups" in the mobility, the situation which rural women faced is worrying. They try to take advantage of all kinds of ways to realize their social mobility, and become a member of the city, at the same time, they want to realize their own development. But affected by various macro and micro factors, most of them have not been changed their social status by social mobility.This paper takes S village, which in north area in Henan province, as the research base, supported by social mobility and its related theory, and takes women in the rural areas as the research object, and combined with the research results of scholars in China and abroad, making a preliminary understanding and exploration about the status of the social mobility of rural women. Then, find the problems by making on-the-spot investigation. Finally, put forward the specific and practical significance suggestions and countermeasures. This paper includes four chapters:In chapter one, the introduction, this chapter is mainly about the research background, research purpose and meaning to do a simple introduction, and then summarized the research status on the basis of related in China and abroad, and explains the concept and the relationship between each other, finally pointed out the research ideas and research methods of this article. In chapter two, mainly introduced the basic status of village women’s social mobility in S village. This chapter first to do a simple description about the basic condition of the S village, then, analysis the questionnaire to the social mobility of the S village’s women. Including the physical features of the flowing female, their flowing direction, flowing reasons and the social alignment when they in city, finally, this chapter analysis the main flowing path of the women in S village. There are five major types:marriage is the direct path of flowing; Education is the basic path of flowing; Working or doing business is the main flowing path; Replace the parent duty is a traditional flowing path; Social relationship is a supplement to the flowing path. In chapter three, mainly discusses the problems of rural women’s social mobility, I will describe it from two aspects: the social problem and the rural women themselves’ problem. In chapter four, mainly introduces the main factors which affect the social mobility of rural women. There two aspects of macro factors and micro factors. Macro factors such as the change of social policy; the improvement of the system of labor protection; the development of culture and education and the establishment of the social security system; Micro factors such as gender stereotypes; the flow of the individual consciousness and the influence of family environment, and so on; in chapter five, Mainly puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions aimed at above problems, from two aspects: the social policy and rural women themselves, which helps to establish a fair, reasonable and smooth social mobility mechanism, and it will promote the social harmony. |
