The Discussion On The Lloyd’s Insurance Broker System And Its Inspiration To China

The UK is the core of insurance in the world, its insurance market and insurance broker market are both very developed, its insurance broker system through its central role in insurance system has a huge influence on many countries’ building and development of the insurance broker system. Among them, the Lloyd’s of London insurance market is an important part of the UK insurance market, from its birth to the follow-up development, it always reveals the unique feature. Lloyd’s of London adhering to its unique market structure, operating mode, supervisory mechanism occupies a place in the international insurance market, after three hundred years of development, it gradually gets many own characteristics.Insurance brokers take protecting the interests of policy holders as a starting point, working as an intermediary between the insurer and the insured for signing insurance policies and then getting legal brokerage. China has vast insurance market to develop, and the ultimate purpose is to be the insurance industry giants in the near future. The development of insurance broker system is the inevitable development of China’s insurance industry, with the development of market conditions, basis of law, international environmental conditions, China’s insurance broker system should be rapidly developed. Certainly, our insurance broker system still confront some deficiencies and unprofessional situation, although the Chinese insurance broker has some reference from the UK marine insurance broker system and makes lots of useful attempt, but it seems to leave out some noteworthy aspects in Lloyd’s broker system. In this paper, I have the honor to express my personal humble opinion, researching the UK marine insurance broker system, analyzing many aspects that China can learn from, then making recommendations to improve Chinese marine insurance brokers system.Therefore, this thesis mainly researches from the following aspects:1. First is introduction. It briefly introduces the research background, research purpose and significance.2. To start from the origin of Lloyd’s insurance broker and briefly introduce the Lloyd and its broker agency, this can let readers have preliminary understanding.3. To make detailed analysis on the system of Lloyd’s insurance broker, including all kinds evaluation of legal relationship between party, the analysis on the value of insurance brokers and Lloyd’s current situation and problems, hoping to let the reader have a detailed understanding.4. This part is mainly about the origin and development of China’s insurance broker system and analyzes the current overall situation and weakness.5. There are my suggestions, hoping to make China’s insurance broker system more complete.6. The last part is conclusions and prospects. To summarize the outcome of this study and analyze the weakness for future improvement. Besides, there are some prospects for China’s future insurance broker system.
