The issue of migrant wokers has always been a hot field of research conducted by all walks of life. The role of migrant workers can not be neglected with the fast development of China’s economy and society. However, the large migrant population from the rural areas can not truly integrate into the urban life, which gradually becomes an important factor that delays and even impedes the fast economic growth. As re gard to the reasons, the main one is that the low information literacy of the migrant workers can hardly get adapt to the current highly developed information society. Under the various information tides, whether the migrant workers can timely, effectively and accurately adopt the information is a vital index for their urban integration. Therefore, the research on migrant workers’ information behavior has always been an hotspot focus of informatics.This paper researches on the migrant workers’ information adoption behavior from the perspective of the information behavior and based on the UTAUT theory model. On the basis of a full research on the concept of the UTAUT theory model and the migrant workers’ character, the UTAUT model was applied into the migra nt workers’ information adoption behavior research and a migrant workers’ information adoption behavior model was built. Through the on-spot questionnaire investigation, data collecting and the application of SPSS and Amos, the data was analyzed and the extent of each variables that influence the migrant workers’ information adoption behavior was learned so as to test and verify the model research assumption. After analyzing the investigation data, the conclusion is made as follows: the effort expectancy and the performance expectancy influence the migrant workers’ information adoption behavior most, while the facilitating conditions has no positive influence.
