| Public sector information contains a potentially rich social and economic value. In recent years, Europe and the United States come to realize the importance of developing public sector information. They explore the value of public sector information reuse, and they promote economic development, social progress and improve government service capabilities through the development of information policy and further deepen practice. The United Kingdom has been the leader in Europe’s public sector information re-use, which see government information resources, including all information resources in the public domain as the most important asset of the community. UK focuses on strengthening public sector information management by policy and practice development. Despite a late start, but the rapid development achievements for all to see, with the United States re-use of public sector information par. With the deep development of information reuse, public sector information re-use has become the practical needs of any country or region in the information economy age.In China, although the public sector information resources are abundant, but the lack of appropriate policies and regulations and management mechanisms.
