Ideological and Political Education carries the important missions of training, promoting and enhancing people and promoting the social progress. Derived from the continuous development of social problems and negative social attitude and the defects of itself, Ideological and Political Education needs to break through traditional means and methods to improve the effectiveness, achieve new breakthroughs and development.As a new idea and mode of thinking in social work, Strength Perspective believes that man’s superiority and the potential can help them to solve the problem, to realize the self value. As the ethical practice of social work and the ideological and political education in essence is the "people" work, is to change people, enhance people, agrees with the intrinsic. And creative the strengths perspective into the ideological and political education can provide new thinking concept and practice mode for ideological and political education.In view of Marxist theory, western philosophy, psychology and sociology, and the problems of Ideological and Political Education, we put forward a new model of Ideological and Political Education under the Strength Perspective. Marx’s humanism theory reveals the person’s practical and plasticity; humanistic psychology and positive psychology promote human dignity and worth; social construction theory hold on that learning is a social construction based on the interaction of learners. The theories provide a theoretical basis of Ideological and Political Education under the Strength Perspective. At the same time, the disadvantages of Ideological and Political Education may promote the construction of new mood.Ideological and Political Education under the Strength Perspective that follows the features of positive,outreach and equality. It gives the rights of people to achieve their aspirations and potential. Anyway, it adheres to a positive view of human nature and beliefs, advocating the return under humanistic concern for the value of life itself, and pursuit of enhancing human nature to achieve the ultimate goal of happiness.Constructing a new model of Ideological and Political Education from the Strength Perspective should shift the discourse, teaching methods and educational relations. It highlights the " superiority concept " mode of thinking, focusing on the advantages of orientation, people of this holistic thinking and systems thinking; highlights the " superiority of speech " discourse paradigm, using the participatory collaboration, problem solving and empowerment-oriented speech; highlights "the advantage practice" approach to education, using the advantages oriented method, positive education law, aesthetic penetration method and life narrative method; highlights the " advantages exchanges " under the focus of reciprocity and equality of education between subjects.
