The Research Of New Generation Migrant Workers’ Employment Plight And Outlet Under The Process Of Urbanization

Since the reform and opening up, a large number of surplus farm labors migrated to city and had become the main force of city modernization. In the process of surplus farm labor migration,the young always the subject. In recent years, the new generation of migrant workers which is the main body of the eighties generation come into people’s vision, and grow into a new workforce, and has become an important force in China’s social and economic construction. Compared with the old generation of migrant workers, they have their own characteristics, such as: a high level of culture and education, easy to adapt the city. But they also faced many problems such as: employment, health care, housing, etc., where they faced the biggest problem is employment problem. The process of urbanization, due to various reasons, resulted the new generation of migrant workers encounter a lot of difficulties in the process of employment. So it is important to help the new generation of migrant workers to solve the employment problems which is they are most concerned about.Firstly, this paper provides an overview of the concepts of urbanization and the new generation of migrant workers, analysis the difference between the new generation of migrant workers and the old, and then defined the new generation of migrant workers employment and described the significance of the new generation of migrant workers full employment in the city.Secondly, this paper combined the National Bureau’s Investigation Report which is about the new generation of migrant workers, Detailed analysis the eight difficulties which is the new generation of migrant workers in the process of employment faced, and from the institutional, economic and new generation of migrant workers themselves to analyze the actors which have caused the new generation of migrant workers employment difficulties.Finally, we learn the lessons from the transfer of foreign rural surplus labor, in order to find a way to solve the employment problems which is faced by the new generation of migrant workers from the economic fundamentals, Institutional innovation, national policy guidance and their own efforts.
