During the Cold War, the Northeast Asian area was the most intense competition region for the two super powers. After the Cold War, with the collapse of the Soviet Union, although the bipolar structure came to an end, the Cold War mentality still existed, the Northeast Asia became an area of interests which all countries competed. The disintegration of bipolar structure made the Northeast Asian security pattern present a complex state, the disputes and differences is continuing, the security dilemma is obvious in the Northeast Asian security pattern. After the Cold war, China sticks to avoid confrontation with the United States and withstand the enormous pressure from the disintegration of the Soviet union. China has become the dominant force from the edge status, with the rise of national power, Chinese voice is Gradually increase.The international financial crisis in 2008 not only had significant impact on the international system, but also contributed to the role transformation between China and the US in the Northeast Asian security pattern. Due to the financial crisis, American power got hit, its dominant position in the Northeast Asian security pattern was decline. China has spent this financial turmoil smoothly and further enhanced national power, China has already risen its status in the Northeast Asian security pattern.The United States is worrying about the emerging superpower’ s strategy and its rise will pose a threat to American interests and the international order in Northeast Asia established by American. In recent years, American return to Asian strategy is largely aim at China, America tries to balance and suppression Chinese influence to keep American dominant position in Northeast Asia. The cooperation or confrontation of Sino-US relations was a major issue which the two countries must confront. "The new Sino-US relations among major powers" came into being in this context. The core problem of building a new type of big country relationship is the location between the " big powers ". At present, China and the US are adjusting to each other on the positioning of "big country", the accuracy of Sino-US international position largely relating to the world peace and security.
