In a multinational state, the ethnic groups identity and national identity of the minority have great influence on the ethnic minorities’ development and national stability. This paper has collected primary data from Mongolian teenagers by questionnaire and interviews, attempting to know the current situation, factors and the relationship between ethnic groups identity and national identity of Mongolian adolescents. Through the analysis of the data,we find that, firstly, the Mongolian teenagers can build high-level ethnic groups identity and national identity at the same time. While ethnic groups identity and national identity appear weakly negative relationship. Secondly, double identities, Mongolian Chinesization tendency, Mongolian Nationalism tendency and marginalization are four relationship types of Mongolian teenagers, they present “multiple- inverted pyramid" structure. Thirdly, the model of the ethnic groups identity and national identity of Mongolian teenagers is “external intergration 一intenlal conservative”in micro aspects. Mongolian Chinesizaition on behavior and cognition does not affect teenagers identifying with his ethnic groups emotionally. Lastly, the result of the influence factors analysis verify the theory of constructivism. The type of group structure can affect the formation, keep and change of individual’s identity. The findings of this paper provides a reference for the education of the ethnic groups identity and national identity in the future.
