English Bubble Act in 1720 is an important legal document in the history of English corporate law, referring to the eighteenth chapter of the Sixth Act under Georgia I. This thesis conducts an analysis of the text of English Bubble Act, studies its social effect and historical influence and on this basis puts forward some views.This thesis consists of three parts. The first part is the introduction, mainly reviewing the available researches in this respect in China and proposing research thought and method and research problems.The second part is the body, including five chapters.The first chapter introduces the historical background of English Bubble Act. It introduces the evolution of earlier English corporate organizations and refers to the corporate organizations before the release of English Bubble Act, laying the foundation for probing into the influences of the act release on different kinds of subjects. Then, it expounds the necessity and internal rationality of the act release and makes a preliminary explanation on the role in the history of English corporate law based on relevant laws and decrees.The second chapter analyzes the whole story of the South-sea Company Event, states the process of the act release and further discusses the internal reasons of the act release. It proposes that the act release mainly attributes to the imperfection of the law rather than the effect of economic crisis and relevant event. Several important statements on the corporate law development are summarized to make preparations for subsequent study on what kind of regulations on these important legal systems of company are made in the English Bubble Act.The third chapter investigates the social effect of the English Bubble Act in practice based on the text content and the collected cases.The fourth chapter discusses the historical influence of English Bubble Act from four aspects of English corporate organization, English social economy and the regulation on stockbroking and English legal system of company based on the above investigation.The third and fourth chapter points out that although English Bubble Act brings some negative influence on English corporate organizations and English social economy but there are still some positive influences which should not be ignored, such as its positive meaning in practice and its guiding role in English legal system of company development.The fifth chapter discusses the abolishment and historical meaning of English Bubble Act and draws the conclusion and the enlightenment to the development of company law through analyzing its economic and social influence. That is the meta-theory of the company law field, namely the fundamental spirit and idea of company law lies in pursuing the benefit and ensuring the safety constitutes and whose ideal dynamic balance constitutes the target of company law.The third part is the conclusion, reviewing the whole study, making a systematic summary, pointing out the innovative points and attempting to further put forward problems on this topic for future study.
