Study Of Democratization Process In Poland

With the collapse of original regime in Poland at the end of 1980s, the democratization process in Poland began. It has been 20 years that the democratization of Poland experienced matured. To analyze from the internal motivation, it was determined by the co-effect of economic crisis, regime crisis, democratic memory, cultural identity, EU requirements and economic temptation. To analyze from the external motivation, it was based on the loosen control from Soviet, the support from America and the desire to return Europe. Under the effect of these two factors, Poland established multiparty system and parliamentary democracy in 1989. Democratization was then achieved and deepened in later years.It only took 7 months for Poland to complete the process of democratization, which experienced the sprout of multiparty system, the prototype of power separation and the establishment of constitution and laws. Even more surprisingly, Poland completed this historic transformation in a peaceful way.Achieve democratization excellently in short time with a rapid and mitigating way is a political spectacle. The democratization set by law is done rapidly. The smooth transition from regimes, the attitude of political elites, the acceptance from civil society and the approval from public are the representation of deepening development of democratization in Poland. Democratization immigrated from outside, however, is somehow unsuitable in Poland. The great feat leaved some urgent problems for Poland to solve. The instability acceptance from public, from some extent, demonstrates the democratic process of Poland is not yet completed.
