A Study Of Psychological Acculturation Of New Generation Of Migrant Workers

China is in a transition period which from agricultural society into industrial society, the rapid urbanization construction development applies a lot of labor force; However, a large number of rural surplus labor force enter city satisfy the requirement. This main urban construction team with Chinese characteristics called "migrant workers". Now a days, the new generation of migrant workers have already involved in urbanization construction; whereas, the new generation of migrant workers are different between older migrant workers, because they grow in the era of particularity, and have different level of education, different values.Under the background of rural and urban combination, the society wishes the migrant workers fit in city; therefore, the fact is not optimistic, especially psychological. The study is from the angle of psychology to promote the psychological health of migrant workers development and social stability; in addition, it can devote to develop measure tool of psychological acculturationThis study is based on basis of literature review and conjoint open-ended questionnaire analysis to build psychological acculturation theory of new generation of migrant workers, then through a series of project analysis, facts analysis to establish regulation questionnaire formally and has carried on the test reliability and validity of this questionnaire and confirmatory factor analysis, also explore the relationship between psychological acculturation of new generation of migrant workers and social support. The conclusions of this study are as follows:1) The psychological acculturation of new generation of migrant workers is three dimensional structures which include adaptability, social-identification and self-identification.2)The questionnaire of psychological acculturation of new generation of migrant workers has good reliability and validity, it meets requirements of surveying. It also can effectively measure the level of new generation of migrant workers’ psychological acculturation.3)The level of psychological acculturation of new generation of migrant workers is in medium or slightly lower level, and it has big room to improve. The different age and gender will cause huge different psychological acculturation.4)There is obvious correlation between the psychological acculturation of new generation of migrant workers and social support. The social support can be used to predict the psychological acculturation of new generation of migrant workers.
