Whether in the feudal monarchy era or in the modern era, official crime is an important legal question which much relates to national economy and the people’s livelihood. The prevention of official crimes and the analysis of legal regulation have a theoretical value and practical significance. The degree of controlling the officials connects to the rise and decline of nations. One of the most important points in the process of officials’ management is the prevention and punishment of their duty crime,especially the economic crime like corruption and bribery. The historian Wu Han ever pointed out that the officials’ corruption had existed in almost every dynasty.Combining the Laws of Great Qing which is the representation of feudal laws, the dissertation lays the emphasis on the Collections of Criminal Cases, which contains lots of criminal cases, excellent contents and correct reflection to the Qing’s law condition. Through the legislative overview, judiciary cases and legal regulations’ characteristics and historical lessons of the officials’ duty crimes in Qing Dynasty,based on the modern criminal theories, the dissertation systematically and in detail studies the official duty crimes in Qing Dynasty. The dissertation, based on Collections of Criminal Cases,has a comprehensive, systematical and thorough study on officials’ duty crime.
