The Study On New Social Stratum United Front Work In View Of Deliberative Democracy

As the new democratic theory paradigm which rose in the west in1980’s,the theory ofdeliberative democracy offer the new research perspective for our country’s democraticaldevelopment,and become one of the important theory of the political civilization’sdevelopment with chinese characteristics.The new social stratum which rose rapidly from the reform and opening hasincreasingly become an important force in the economic, political, and social life in China.The overall quality of the new social stratum improves continually. Economic andtechnological strength and the social influence are growing as well as its political demandsand the democratic consciousness. For this reason, we need to strengthen the unity of thenew social stratum united front and fully mobilize their participation enthusiasm in political,economic, social and other respects. Constantly stimulating their master consciousness andpromoting its role to play are also very important. Under the background of the pluralisticinterest conflicts and social development, according to development status and subjectrequirements of the new social stratum, deliberative democracy theory provides a newtheoretical perspective and theoretical support to strengthen the new social stratum unitedfront work.In this paper, on the basis of interpretation of western deliberative democracy theory, itcomprehensively analyzes deliberative democracy with China’s new social stratum unitedfront in theory fit and clarify deliberative democracy theory is an urgent need to the newsocial stratum united front work. From the perspective of deliberative democracy, atpresent our country still exist some problems in the new social stratum united front work,for example, coverage is not comprehensive enough, demands expression vector are notwide enough, political participation mechanism is inadequate, new social class playfunction is not sufficient and so on. Then this paper analyzes the causes of these problems.According to these problems and the reasons, and from the aspects of expanding the scopeof consultation subject, improving the working mechanism of consultation, broadening theconsultation work carrier and improving the quality of consultation body, the paperdiscusses the effective implementation way of strengthening the new social stratum unitedfront work on deliberative democracy level.
