XINJIANG is a multi-ethnic province that there are47ethnic groups, includingindigenous peoples have13. Based on the2010, sixth national population census ofdata presentation, statistics of Xinjiang province’s total population of21.81million,among Muslim population of more than13million, with so many Muslims coupled toXinjiang business, workers, learning, travel to the rising number of Muslims, thedemand for halal food is growing. Therefore, strengthen the management of halalfood is conducive to economic development, national unity and social stability, aswell as promote cultural integrative development in Xinjiang. As the carrier of theMuslim ethnic customs and symbol of religious belief, hala food is the embodiment ofthe Muslim nation’s traditional culture, the relationship between national unity andsocial stability. Featured in halal food management initiatives abroad, particularly inthe most widely distributed in the Muslim region, Middle East, Southeast Asia andmulti-ethnic scattered distribution in North America, these regions are the theory andpractice of the most representative, they are for Xinjiang and even the country’s halalfood management improvements have some reference significance. The governmentof Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and relevant departments after years of efforts,there are some achievements have been made halal food management, however, thereare not high level of legalization has been exist, such as low legislation, low legaleffect, unsound legal system. National halal food industry has been frequent "halalunclear" event. Therefore, the strengthen of legal support for halal food control, notonly is the respect for minorities plays an important role in promoting the livingcustoms, religious beliefs, but also to promote economic development in nationalregions and improve the national legal system construction, achieving social harmonyand stability is of great significance.This article is mainly divided into six chapters. The first chapter mainlyelaborates the definition and concept of halal food and "halal" and its traditional diet.The second chapter mainly studies the current situation of our country present stagehalal food regulatory analysis. The third and fourth chapters as key point of thisarticle, through empirical find halal food management problems that exist in theXinjiang, respectively from the lack of regulation system, lack of authentication system in two aspects, to analyze the main cause of the regulation of "halal food" liesin the unclear definition, incomplete management legislation, lack of effectivecoordination and enforcement of management between administrative department.The fourth chapter through introduces the halal food regulation of some foreigncountries to analyze the characteristics of halal food supervision enlightenment inXinjiang. The fifth chapter is through domestic and foreign reference explains how toimprove the regulation of halal food in Xinjiang legal measures. The sixth chaptermade a summary of the entire article, clarify supervision of halal food must beincrease administrative enforcement of halal food, to further standardize productionand management of halal food, in the whole society to form a kind of socialsupervision self-discipline, and people involved in halal food management pattern inunison.
